My favorite summer beauty products
By Arley Hoskin
Everyone has a guilty pleasure (or two) and beauty products are by far one of mine.
So, when my husband, Logan, gave me a gift card to Beauty Brands, I took it as the perfect opportunity to splurge. When it comes to hair and skincare products, I feel it’s important to know when to splurge and when to rely on the products you can snag at the drug store.
If you are looking to try some new products this summer, here are my top picks. Some are splurges purchased with my Beauty Brands gift card and some are my faves from Target.
Bliss Blood Orange + White Pepper Sugar Scrub
I normally don’t spend money on scrubs and body washes, but I’ve heard great things about this product so I decide to give it a try. I’m so glad I did. This sudsy scrub lathers instantly and leaves your skin feeling soft all day long. Really, this is a three-in-one product. It exfoliates, cleanses and moisturizes all at once. Definitely worth the splurge.

E.L.F Hypershine Lip Gloss
I love this lip gloss. It makes my lips super shiny and at $1 a tube, I can afford to try it in every color. You can’t beat that.

DevaCurl Heaven In Hair
I try really hard to keep my curls moisturized and frizz free. The DevaCurl line has helped me accomplish this goal. I use the Heaven In Hair mask about once a week and my hair comes out super soft and shiny. One container of Heaven In Hair lasts months and it keeps my hair healthy enough to postpone trips to the salon for trims. Well worth the money.

Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo
I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos over the years and Tresemme’s is by far my favorite. I love the smell, and you can’t beat the price. Spray this on your roots in between washes and you are good to go.
