Shop local: Look chic while supporting hometown boutiques
Fashion comes and goes, but helping thy neighbor is always in good style. The general consensus is that spending your dollars at locally owned, independent businesses results in at least twice as much money being put back into your local economy than shopping at national chains or "big box" retailers.
That’s not to say you should swear them off — just think twice about where you spend your hard-earned dollars. Shopping Kansas City's melting pot of local boutiques and local designers also gives you a friend in fashion, someone to call for that last-minute piece you need to complete an outfit or to guide you into something new that gives you a style confidence boost.
